Waffles

1 3/4 cup milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs (separated)
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
1 3/4 cup flour

Mix milk, oil, and egg yolks together. Add flour, salt, and baking powder mixture. Beat egg whites until very stiff. Carefully fold egg whites into batter. Serve with maple or caramel syrup

Caramel Syrup
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup buttermilk
1 square butter
1-2 Tbs. Karo Syrup
1/2 tsp. soda

Mix ingredients in pan and boil 5 minutes. Then remove from heat and add 1 tsp. vanilla. Serve over waffles
